Pizzeria Antica Arte Napoletana

pizzeria arte napoletanaThis place is situated at one of the most famous and beautiful squares of Orvieto. We ended up there, because it was the 2nd of May, all  on the Corso Restaurants were closed and Cecilia absolutely wanted to see the Rome Liverpool match.
 
So I entered a place that looks like a Fast Food Place and into which I normally would not put my foot into,  Luckily I did.

Altes Zollhaus

After my  3rd attempt, I finally succeeded. Twice I tried to book a Dinner at the "Altes Zollhaus" in Kreuzberg. Twice I was rejected.  This Tuesday I succeeded without problems and the place was not overcrowded as I feared. Seems to be that Friday is a very bad day to book at the "Zollhaus".

Well, another noteworthy dining experience after Gruenfisch yesterday.   We had:

Picture at the moment not availablewww.gruenfisch.de/ has good reports wherever you find something written about the Restaurant. I went there on October 22 and I only can confirm all the good things that have been said about this Restaurant.

My delightment started with the initial offering of fresh made bread with a spread from basil and dried tomatos and a wonderful sicilian olive oil.

Rotisserie Weingruen

Da auch mein zweiter Anlauf, im alten Zollhaus essen zu gehen, scheiterte (es war ausgebucht auch schone eine Woche vorher), akzeptierte ich den Vorschlag vom Zollhaus in ihrem "Schwesterrestaurant"  Rotisserie Weingruen zu buchen.

Der Goldene Hahn

I don't like it, if in a Restaurant they deliver me the invoice before I did ask for it. I feel like being thrown out. And so I felt when the waitress brought me the invoice when I just had taken the last sip from my wine. Presumably they were irritated seeing me dining with note block and camera.

Vin d'Alsace

Das ist eine kleine Weinbar an der Koertestrasse 18. Biologische Weine, um die 2 Euro/Glas (0.1). Einige Tapas zwischen 1.50 € und 3€, Ich bestellte Ziegenkaese im Speckmantel, und was ich bekam, waren nicht tapas, sondern eine Portion, 3 Stuecke, das haette auch reichen koennen wir ein kleines Dinner. Als Wein wurde mir ausserhalb der Karte ein Weissburgunder aus Rheinhessen angeboten. Da ich gerade auf der Jagd nach Weissburgundern bin, habe ich akzeptiert. Wundervoll gegessen und gut getrunken.

Mittmann's Restaurant

An eine Stelle, wo man nicht gerade ein gutes Restaurant erwartet und wo man vielleichts nachts nicht einmal gerne allein herumlaeuft liegt Mittmann's Restaurant. Ich war da so haeufig mit dem Fahrad vorbeigefahren und irgenwie hatte mich das Menu gereizt, Kalbsnieren, mit Zwiebeln. Z.B. Ich kam an gegen 22 Uhr nach einem wundervollen aperitivo bei. Und zunaechst wollte mich ein grummeliger glatykoepfiger Kellner gleich wieder herauswerfen. Er wurde dann aber von einer netten blonden Kollegen des Besseren belehrt und ja, ich koennte noch etwas zu essen haben.
