On September  13th I arranged the visit of a delegation from the Chinese Academy of Science (Institutes in Lhasa and Chengdu) to Orvieto.  The delegation was welcomed in the city hall by mayor Germani and Councelor Cannistrà. Both sides emphasized the necessity of strengthening cultural, scientific and economic relations.

After the welcome in the city hall the delegation visited the cooperative winery "Cardeto". They had the possibility to see the practical organization of a big cooperative winery from the delivery of the grapes to the bottling. A tasting of two wines was obviously included.

My Chinese friends appreciated very much the closure of the visit with a Lunch wirìth further wine tasting at the  trattoria del conte in locality Buon Respiro.
