I am at the moment participating in the Agricultural Working Group of the Asean Pacific Advanced Network (APAN- https://www.apan.net).

APAN is working on advanced grid based e-infrastructures in science, culture and specific areas. Particularly advanced are fieldserver based application to analyze data. A new planned project is to install numerous fieldservers around the Mount Everest glacier to monitor the effects of global warming on the glacier and especially the glacier lake.

I presented during the workshop the e-Agriculture community site and the AIMS site encouraging all participants to share experiences with the e-agriculture community and to share applications and standards through the AIMS repository.
